Two killed in mishaps

HETAUNDA: Two persons were killed and over 10 injured in separate road mishaps in Makwanpur district on Wednesday, the police said. Saraswati Shrestha (80) from Dhulikhel of Kavre was killed when a bus heading to Kathmandu from the east hit her at Hetauda-11. Meanwhile, Kamal Karki, was killed when his truck heading to Hetauda from Birgunj met with an accident at Ratomate on Wednesday. Rajendra Darai (17) of Chitwan, and David Lama (30) and Bipul Gurung of Hetauda-10 who were travelling on the truck were hurt. In another incident, eight persons were hurt when a bus met with an accident at Bastipur along Hetauda-Manahari section of the highway on Wednesday. — HNS
