Yeti goes to Bhutan

KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines on Tuesday operated its first international flight from Paro, Bhutan, to Kathmandu. The flight, commanded by Captain KB Thapa, was chartered by the World Bank. The duration of the flight was approximately one hour and ten minutes. The flight landed at the Tribhubvan International Airport at 11:00 am. — HNS

Blast in Inaruwa

ITAHARI: An unidentified group of five persons exploded a bomb in the office of the Inaruwa Cable Network in Sunsari district on Tuesday. A wall of the office building has been damaged due to the explosion, said proprietor of the cable network, Pradip Pokhrel. According to Pokhrel, an unidentified person had asked Rs 50,000 through telephone from him in the afternoon, Pokhrel said. — HNS

One hurt in clash

BIRGUNJ: One person was injured when two groups clashed over a row over the leadership of a school management committee election at Nepal Rastriya Primary School in Jayamangala VDC of Parsa district on Tuesday. Dhruba Shah was injured when the group opposing him beat him up. The other group was led by Balistar Singh. The groups also opened fire in the air. Mom of 22 now citizen

Teacher robbed

TANAHUN: A gang robbed Rs 100,000 from a headmaster at Damauli bazaar on Monday. The headmaster had withdrawn the money from a bank to pay the Tihar allowance to the teacher of Araniko Secondary School at Mirlung. “A fat person with black complexion looted the money by spraying colorful water on me,” the headmaster said. — HNS

Marijuana seized

BIRGUNJ: A police patrol from the Pokharia Base Camp of Border Security Office of Armed Police Force seized 1.5 quintal of marijuana on Monday night. The police seized the contraband while the smugglers were taking it from Nichuta of Parsa district to the bordering village of Dhore with the help of porters. — HNS

One electrocuted

SYANGJA: One personn was died of electrocution while repairing a cable line in Syangja district on Monday. Hari Gurung, 28, a permanent resident of Parbat district and currently living in Arjunchaupari, died of electric shock while repairing the cable line after the cable wire touched the electric wires, said district police office, Syangja. — HNS
