RUPANDEHI: An unidentified gang manhandled a journo of Tilottama daily, Ramraj Pokharel on Tuesday. “The gang assaulted me when I was returning to my room from office,” Pokharel said. Mahato slams EC

Rajbiraj: Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi) leader and former minister Rajendra Mahato on Wednesday accused the Election Commission (EC) of conspiring to prevent his party from contesting the CA polls. Shut mill to reopen

BIRATNAGAR: Raghupati Jute Mills lying closed for a week is set to reopen, with workers seeing eye-to-eye with the management and relenting. Mill manager Mahendra Golchha said that the decision to reopen the Mill was taken after talks between the two sides that started on Tuesday. Curfew lifted

Rupandehi: The curfew, clamped since Tuesday after a clash between jeep and bus entrepreneurs in Arghakhanchi’s Sandhikharka, has been lifted, the District Administration Office said on Wednesday. Girl abducted

ITAHARI: A gang kidnapped a 21-year-old girl at Sunsari district’s Haripur-9 on Tuesday. The abductee was identified as Rosy, daughter of Rabindra Nath Dev of Haripur VDC-9. Dev accused Shatrudhan Sardar, Shanker Poudel, Kishor Sardar of Sunsari and Arun Kumar Kurmi of Birpur, India, and Gopal Bhagat of Supaul, India, of involvement in the abduction. — HNS
