Indian assistance

Kathmandu: The government of India has provided grant assistance of Rs 49.5 million for the construction of hospital and school buildings in the Nawalparasi Bhojpur, respectively. The Embassy of India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the concerned Municipality and DDCs to provide the grant assistance, stated a press release issued by the embassy on Thursday. A grant of Rs 29.92 million is meant for the construction of a building for the Prithivi Chandra Hospital in Nawalparasi and Rs 19.13 million for the Sharada Secondary School in Bhojpur, the press statement said. — HNS

Teacher assaulted

Kavre: Two cadres of the Young Communist League assaulted a school teacher on Thursday while he was taking a class in Dedithumka Higher Secondary School. According to eyewitnesses, two YCL cadres Ait Singh Tamang and Bidur Thankuri barged into the classroom and attacked Prem Narayan Shah. — HNS
