PM meets GPK

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday met Nepali Congress president and former PM Girija Prasad Koirala and the two dwelt on allocating ministerial portfolios to the coalition partners. A source close to Koirala told this daily that the NC boss gave his nod to the PM to give complete shape to the cabinet. The cabinet expansion has been delayed because of the claims of both the parties on lucrative ministries. “Koirala advised the PM to reach out to other parties regarding the portfolios,” the source added. Later, a joint panel of both the parties tried its best to forge a consensus on sharing ministerial berths. — HNS
