JTMM (J) abducts one
Siraha: Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Jwala Singh) activists abducted Sip Kumar Yadav of Bariyapatti VDC-6, from his residence late Tuesday. Morcha’s district in-charge Tufan Singh ‘Bidrohi’ claimed the responsibility for the abduction. Bidrohi said Sip Kumar Yadav was abducted with a home-made gun. He did not give the reason for the abduction. Police said a probe into the incident had been launched. — HNS
Panel formed
KATHMANDU: The government on Wednesday formed a team headed by member of parliament Dilaram Sharma to look into demands being made by prisoners in jails across the country. The parliamentary panel has been asked to submit its report in a month. — HNS
Body found
BAGLUNG: A body was found on the banks of the Kaligandaki river in Baglung’s Maldhunga on Wednesday. The dead, around 45 years of age, is yet to be unidentified, police said. The locals found the body of the 45-year-old that was washed ashore by the river current. It has been taken to Baglung Hospital for post-mortem, police said. — HNS
Day’s salary donated
LEKHNATH: Staffers of Lekhnath Municipality have decided to donate a day’s salary to the family of the late Arun Kumar Jaiswal, who was a staff at Malangawa Municipality and who was killed in a bomb explosion on Monday night in Malangawa of Sarlahi. The staffers of the municipality have also demanded that Jaiswal be declared a martyr. — HNS
