Three held with arms

BIRATNAGAR: Police arrested three persons with weapons at Budhnagar of Morang on Saturday. The three — Rajesh Yadav, Sachin Yadav and Jawaharlal Yadav of Budhnagar-5 — were arrested from their house at Sachin, police said, adding that a Chinese pistol, six rounds of bullets and one magazine were seized from Rajesh. Police claimed Rajesh was also involved in killing SI Nareshjung Karki at Budhnagar Police Post during the agitation of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum 45 days ago. — HNS

Bus-fall kills two

SYANGJA: Two persons were killed and two injured when a jeep heading for Birgha from Galayang fell 300 feet down the road at Mirmi Deurali of Shreekrishna Gandaki VDC on Saturday. Yubaraj Pandey, 75, and Beena Pandey, 60, who were critically injured in the accident, died on way to Tansen hospital, District Police Office (Syangja ) said. Two persons injured in the accident are undergoing treatment in the hospital, police said. — HNS

Five hurt in blast

SARLAHI: Five persons were injured when an unidentified gang detonated a bomb at Bramhapuri VDC on Friday night. A Sarlahi district committee member of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chhabila Shah, Ikhar Sahani, Basanta Shah, Dinesh Shah and Laxmi Sahani were injured in the blast, police said.— HNS
