Rebellion in Maoist

DHANGADHI: Former head of the Maoists’ people’s government in Kailali Laxman Tharu (Roshan) and 14 other Maoists have revolted against the party to form the Samyukta Tharu Rastriya Morcha. Talking to mediapersons at a village near Dhangadhi on Tuesday, Tharu said he deserted the CPN-Maoist to form the Morcha. Maoists’ Kailali secretary Shrawan said he had no knowledge of the rebellion. — HNS

Action against cadres

NEPALGUNJ: The Banke unit of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party-Anandidevi has said it would take action against its cadres who supported the agitation by the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum. Chairperson of NSP-A in Banke district and party central member Satyabati Kurmi said this during an interaction with the victims in the Madhes movement on Tuesday. — HNS

Woman dies

JHAPA: One lady, who was hit by an ambulance on Monday, died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday. Geeta Rai, 24 of Budhabare-7, who seriously injured when an ambulance (Me Cha 391)hit her at Budhabare, had been admitted to Kanchanjunga Hospital in Birtamod on Monday. She was taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (Dharan) for further treatment and died there. — HNS
