Girl found dead
Nuwakot: A 13-year-old student died of excessive cold in Bhalche VDC of Nuwakot following snowfall on Thursday and Friday. Sumati Tamang, a student of Bhume lower secondary school (Kahule) was found dead on Sunday, a teacher at the school said. The falling snow covered them, the teacher added. Four other missing students have come into contact. — HNS
RPP-N men quit party
PHIDIM: Some 40 Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) activists, including the party’s Panchthar district unit chairman Hari Lal Tumrok and vice-chairman Dil Bir Saru, quit the party and joined the Nepali Congress on Saturday. Four girls rescued
SYANGJA: Locals here rescued four Nepali girls from an Indian circus and handed them over to their guardians on Sunday. The girls were rescued from the circus that was staging its show in the Waling Festival in Syangja. Tara Sharma, Karuna Magar, Mandira Tamang and Rama Tamang were rescued from the circus. — HNS
