Boy killed in landslide

DHADING: A boy was killed and two persons were critically injured after being buried in a landslide at Bharpang village of Jogimara VDC, Dhading on Wednesday night. Bharpang village lies at the walking distance of three hours from Majhimtar of Prithvi Highway. Prakash Shrestha, 12 was killed on the spot in the landslide that occurred at around 11 pm on Wednesday, District Police Office Dhading said. Four houses were buried in the landslide. — HNS

One hurt in blast

RAUTAHAT: Chief of the Rautahat District Land Revenue Office in Gaur, Madan Krishna Upreti, was injured when an identified group detonated a pipe bomb in the office on Thursday, police said adding that the blast caused minor damage in the office. Upreti is undergoing treatment in Gaur District Hospital and is out of danger, said chief at the hospital, Dr Ram Shankar Thakur. — HNS
