Health desk shifted

KATHMANDU: The health desk that was set up at the immigration office in the Tribhuvan International Airport to monitor swine flu among the passengers will be shifted to the 'C' area, area where passengers first step after they arrive at airport, for better monitoring. Dr Gajananda P Bhandari, coordinator of the desk said they transferred the desk to the 'C' area for better surveillance. "The transferred desk will be fully functional from Thursday,” Dr Bhandari said. — HNS

Abduction threat

GULMIi: In the wake of frequent kidnapping threats over the telephone, Samjahana Adhikari of Putalibazar on Wednesday filed complaints at District Administration Office and District Police Office, seeking security to her child. She said that an unidentified person had demanded Rs 1 million while issuing warning that he otherwise would kidnap her son. — HNS
