Bike-borne youth arrested in possession of contraband pharmaceutical drugs in Rautahat
Rautahat: A person has been arrested on the charge of possessing illegal drugs in Gaur Municipality-3 of Rautahat district on Tuesday morning.
The arrested has been identified as Nitesh Singh (32) of Manarakati in Mahottari district.
The Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal intercepted Singh who was riding the on-test Apache bike for security check near the Gaur Custom Office this morning. Subsequently, he was taken into custody after illegal drugs were found in his possession, according to the Border Security Force of the Armed Police, Rautahat.
The APF seized 72 tablets of Nitravet, 52 ampoules of Diazelab, 45 ampoules of Phenergan and 41 ampoules of Noorphin from the possession of the arrested, according to the Superintendent of Police of APF Prem Raj Pokharel. He added that Singh, along with the seized drugs, has been handed over to the District Police Office (DPO), Rautahat for further investigation.
Meanwhile, strict checking is being carried out to ensure the prevention of drugs being smuggled into the Nepali land, asserted Superintendent of Police Yagya Binod Pokharel at the DPO.
