RAJBIRAJ: A person died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed onto a stationary truck in Shambhunath Municipality-8 of Saptari district on Sunday night.

Police have identified the deceased as Ejajul Haque (39) of Khadak Municipality-7 of Saptari district.

According to police, the motorcycle (Sa 1 Pa 9058) Haque was riding in the eastward direction crashed onto the truck (Lu 1 Kha 7061) parked on the side of the highway at 10:30 pm yesterday, critically injuring him.

The injured was rushed to Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Memorial Hospital in Lahan, Siraha where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhavesh Rimal.

It has been learnt that the truck was parked at the roadside after it broke down.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
