INARUWA: A 10-year-old child was killed after being hit by a passenger bus at Haripur VDC-1 in Sunsari on Friday afternoon.

Pushpa, daughter of Mithu Kherawar of Sripur-2, was crossing the road when the bus hit her, said villager Pappu Yadav.

She died on the spot. The bus (Na 5 Kha 4064) was heading for Dhangadi from Biratnagar.

The body has been kept at District Hospital for post-mortem. Police said they were further investigating the incident.
