KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were riding met with an accident in Rajapur Municipality-3 of Bardiya district on Wednesday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Bajaru Chaudhary (30), and injured as Ram Bahadur Chaudhary (28), both residents of Tikapur Minicipality-4 in Kailali district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the Se 3 Pa 6489 plated motorcycle lost its control and fell on the road at 10:15 pm yesterday, injuring both rider and pillion rider.

The injured Chaudhary duo were rushed to the health facilities, however, motorcyclist Bajaru was declared dead upon admission. While, the pillion rider Ram Bahadur is undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj-based nursing home, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
