JAJARKOT: One person died on the spot while two others were critically injured after a tractor met with an accident at Bherimalika Municipality in Jajarkot on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Prem Bahadur Chand, 17, of the municipality, said police. The accident occurred when the tractor, which was heading towards Khalanga from Jhumke, turned turtle on the roadside.

Driver Gang Bahadur Luhar, 21, and Khim Bahadur Malla, 17, of the municipality were critically injured in the accident.

DSP Dan Bahadur Malla of the DPO said the injured have been receiving treatment in District Hospital, Jajarkot.

Further investigation into the case was under way, said police.
