RAUTAHAT: Police on Tuesday arrested one person in possession of arms and ammunition from Lal Bakiya river banks in Isnath Municipality of Rautahat district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Armed Police Force deployed from Mohattari district apprehended 47-year-old Nakul Patel of Tikuliya in Gaur Municipality.

APF team frisked Patel in suspicion and recovered one Italian-made 9 mm pistol, one home-made gun, one magazine each and 5 rounds of bullets along with other ammunition around 10 am today.

Meanwhile, APF handed over Patel to the Rautahat District Police Office for further investigation and action.
