PYUTHAN: One person was killed and two others went missing, following a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall at Rajwara of Gaumukhi Rural Municipality in Pyuthan district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Tulasa Gharti (16), of the RM-3.

It has been learned that 58 people had lost their lives in the landslide at the same place last year.

Jogendra Malla, a local, shared that Gharti was killed after the house was swept away by the landslide.

Meanwhile, the details of the missing two are yet to be received.

The area has become unreachable after all means of communications were disconnected after the incident.

According to Chief District Officer Yadu Nath Poudel, a team of security personnel has headed toward the incident site.

Meanwhile, the risk of possible landslide has been witnessed in various places in the district.
