DHADING: One person was killed and four others injured in a mini-truck accident at Tilar, Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-4 in Dhading district.

District Police Office has identified the deceased as Arjun Bhujel (27) of Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-7 in the district. Bhujel was headed to his village when the incident occurred.

The mini-truck (Ga 1 Kha 5959), loaded with stones, was en route to Karki Gaun from Khahare of Tripurasundari Rural Municipality when it fell 15 metres down the road at 10:30 in the morning.

Among the injured is the mini-truck driver Rajesh Bhandari (28) of Tripurasundari-4. He has suffered injuries to his head and back. Likewise, Tilak Shrestha (25) of Tripurasundari-7 has suffered from a fracture to his right leg. Both of them have been sent to the Trauma Centre in Kathmandu for treatment.

Meanwhile, a passenger Bimala Timilsina (25) and a labourer Bishnu Surkheti (26) of Tripurasundari-4 have been admitted to a local medical facility for treatment of minor injuries.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the primary health centre in Salyantar for post-mortem, informed Spokesperson at Dhading District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Bista.

District Police Office, Dhading has deployed a team of police to investigate into the accident case.
