DAMAULI, JANUARY 9
A person was killed in a pickup van accident in Byas Municipality-1of Tanahun district on Sunday.
Hari Bahadur Thapa (53) of Myagde Rural Municipality-6 has been identified as the deceased.
The incident occurred when a van (Ga 3 Cha 3778) traveling from Damauli to Ghansikuwa crashed at Talghare, crushing Thapa,informed Police Inspector Shivaraj Chhetri. Critically injured Thapa was rushed to the Damauli Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, added Inspector Chhetri.
Police are still trying to figure whether if Thapa was the van driver, a passenger or other.
According to police, the body is being kept at the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
