RAJBIRAJ: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on collided with a tractor in Kalyanpur Khadak Municipality-7 of Saptari district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Jaganath Chaudhary (24) of Dagneshwari Municipality-10 in the district.

The incident occurred after the motorcycle (Sa 7 Pa 7900) heading towards the west collided head-on with the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 2084) near Kalyanpur Chok, critically injuring Chaudhary today.

Chaudhary was rushed to a Lahan-based local hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment today, informed Kalyanpur-based Area Police Office.

Police have impounded the tractor and arrested its driver for further investigation into the case.

In a separate incident, three persons were injured when the motorcycle they were riding on went out of control and met with an accident in Saptari today.

The injured have been identified as the motorcyclist Sulendra Ram, and pillion riders Surendra Ram and Chandra Jit Ram. All the injured are the residents of Surunga Municipality-1 in the district.

It has been learned that the motorcycle heading towards Lahan from Gaighat on the Gaighat-Kadamaha road section was on a test-drive.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Saptarishi Hosptial in Lahan, informed the Bhedia-based Area Police Office.
