RATNANAGAR: A person died and other two were critically injured when a bus hit the bike they were riding on, in Khairahani of Chitwan district on Sunday.

Police are yet to establish the identity of the deceased as well as that of an injured.

The second injured has been identified as Joseph Darai (19) of Ratnanagar-4, Chitwan.

The deceased person breathed his last during treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, according to the District Police Office. The injured are also being treated at the same health facility.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ba 5 Kha 8961) heading towards the west hit the bike (Ba 75 Pa 945) coming from the opposite direction at around midnight yesterday.

Police have impounded the four-wheeler and held its driver for further investigation.
