JAJARKOT: The death toll in the Thursday bus accident in Bherimalika-4 of Jajarkot district in mid-western Nepal has reached 27.

Ram Bahadur Gandarbha (27), a resident of Bherimalika-11, breathed his last on Friday during treatment, said the District Police Office.

Earlier till Friday afternoon, the death toll was 26.

According to DSP Bhawesh Rimal of the DPO, 27 people injured in the incident are being treated in Nepalgunj of Banke and other six at the Jajarkot District Hospital.

The jam-packed passenger bus had skidded off the road and fell around 200 metres down near Khalanga, the Jajarkot district headquarters.
