‘One Ward, One Helipad’ campaign commences in Myagdi
GALESHWAR: Myagdi District Disaster Management Committee has launched the ‘one ward, one helipad’ campaign from Pakhapani of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-6 in the district.
The campaign of constructing a helipad at every local level ward in the district has been started with the objective of making the emergency rescue and disaster management works smooth and systematic.
There is one municipality and five rural municipalities in Myagdi district. The helipad at Pakhapani is being constructed at the coordination of the rural municipality office and the ward office, the rural municipality chair Bhawa Bahadur Bhandari, said.
The Chief District Officer, Liladhar Adhikari said that preparations have been made to construct helipad at all the 45 local level wards in the district.
According to him, the helipads would be constructed by the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army teams by coordinating with the local levels.
