KATHMANDU, JUNE 23
Police have seized 120,620 capsules of the banned drug Tramadol from a cargo truck travelling from Birgunj to Kathmandu.
According to Nepal Police, a team from the District Police Office, Parsa, intercepted the truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 3346) on Monday evening on suspicion of revenue evasion. The vehicle was subsequently handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office in Pathlaiya, Bara.
During inspection of the truck, authorities recovered 120,620 capsules of Tramadol.
Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
