KATHMANDU, JANUARY 8

Nepal Police AIG Hari Bahadur Pal won the title of the Himalayan Bank Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, the 14-handicap amateur Pal accumulated 40 points to finish first. Maj Gen Vijay Moktan came second with 37 points. Hari Thapa won the gross section trophy with the score of 32 points.

Tara Karki Chitrakar bagged the women's section title with 37 points, while Arshiya Banu was runner-up with 30 points. Likewise, Maj Gen Kamal Singh Pradhan finished first in senior section with 34 points, while Brig Gen Dilip Jung Rayamajhi came second with 32 points. Lt Gen Victory SJB Rana bagged the super senior section trophy with 27 points. Tashi Sherpa won the junior category title with 25 points, while Shyan Basnyat was runner-up with 23 points.

Pemba Sherpa bagged two trophies. He was the winner in guest category with 39 points and Sherpa also bagged the longest drive award. Jayendra B Shah came first among the HBL family players with 31 points, whereas Mahendra Kanta Mainali was the lucky winner (29th position).

Prakash Ban and Devendra Shrestha bagged the most birdies and closest-to-thepin awards respectively.

Also, Anvadya Malla lifted the girls section title with 18 points, while Istina Tondon came second with 17 points.

Jaybir Acharya and Idant Singh Saud bagged the longest drive and closest-to-thepin awards respectively in junior section.

RNGC President and Himalayan Bank Limited Chairman Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha , HBL Director Bijay Bahadur Shrestha, CEO Ashok SJB Rana, GM Anup Maskey, RNGC Captain Rajendra Man Sherchan and RNGC Vice-captain Rajendra Man Shrestha handed over prizes to the winners.
