Palpa bandh put off

TANSEN: The bandh called by the Palpa chapter of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) was put off on Wednesday afternoon.

FNNCCI called a bandh to protest the allegation of theft charged against Durga Kafle, owner of Bhairab Colourlab. He was accused by Ravi Khanal, owner of Bombay Photo studio, of stealing a video camera worth NRS. 30,000. The camera had been found inside a flower pot at Kafle’s terrace on Tuesday two months after it went missing. Transportation, markets and academic institutions have remained paralysed in the district from Wednesday morning.

A meeting held among the police and all concerned bodies decided to release the alleged Kafle but further investigation was still on.
