PALPA: A person died after the jeep he was travelling on met with an accident in Purbakhola Rural Municipality-6 of Palpa district on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Daan Bahadur Rana (45) of Heklang in Palpa.

According to police, the incident occurred when the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 3499) en route from Tansen to Heklang lost its control and fell some 20 metres below the road in Heklang this morning.

It has been learnt that there were two persons travelling in the jeep at the moment of accident.

The critically injured Rana breathed his last while he was being rushed to the medical facility in Tansen, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Ghimire, at the District Police Office, Palpa.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
