RAMPUR, PALPA: Mayor of Rampur Municipality in Palpa, Raman Bahadur Thapa on Thursday announced personal donation for the establishment of Ashish Child Support Blood Cancer Trust.

The announcement comes in the wake of the death of seven-year-old Ashish Shrestha of Bejhang Bazaar of Rampur Municipality-5 from blood cancer one and a half months ago.

The mayor announced a personal donation of Rs 100,000 for establishment of the trust to commemorate the boy's death.

Thapa said the money collected in the trust will be used in the treatment of poor and hapless children under the aegis of the Rampur Hospital.

The trust has been established with an aim to make available the medical services for children from the poverty-stricken families deprived of treatment on financial ground.
