PANCHTHAR: Two persons were arrested in connection with the death of an infant in Panchthar district on Tuesday.

Police arrested Ramila Rai (21) and Kebar Rai (28) of Phidim-1 for their alleged involvement in the case.

According to police, Ramila had thrown away the infant after giving birth. Police had found the body at Siddin-4 of the district.

The Panchthar District Court, meanwhile, remanded the duo for further investigation, informed DSP Nakul Pokharel of the District Police Office.
