Panel takes up Bill on Good Governance
Kathmandu, December 20:
The parliamentary Administration Reforms Monitoring Committee began discussion on Good Governance Bill today.
The discussion will basically dwell on the job, responsibilities, rights and privileges of the government’s Chief Secretary and other secretaries.
Chief Secretary Bhoj Raj Ghimire, who was summoned at the committee, said the tendency of the Rastra Bank board members to work in a private firm or a company immediately after retirement should be discouraged.
He said an end to such practices would discourage “irregularities”.
According to lawmaker and member of the Committee, Dr Gangadhar Lamsal, the discussion will resume after some days.
