KATHMANDU:

A parliamentary task force formed to sort out technical problems in the Constituent Assembly Member Election Bill submitted its report to the State Affairs Committee (SAC) on Thursday. The SAC task force has finalised the formula for the proportional representation electoral system on the basis of population. It has ensured seats for women, Dalit community, indigenous minorities, Madhesis, backward region and other groups. Another parliamentary task force formed to study the Rights to Information Bill also submitted its report to the Environment, Information and Technology Committee of the interim parliament. The committees would continue to hold clause-wise discussion on the Bills before they are finalised.
