Paragliding pilots protest against extra fees charged by CAAN
POKHARA: The paragliding pilots are protesting the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) decision to charge extra fees, in Pokhara of Kaski district on Sunday.
The pilots are protesting against the Authority's decision for illegally taking Rs 9,000 as extra fees from Nepali paragliding pilots.
They have stopped the paragliding services from today to protest the extra fees imposed by CAAN, informed Rajesh Bomjan, a paragliding pilot.
However, Pokhara-based CAAN acting head, Yogendra Kunwar, informed that the provision of taking Rs 9,000 as extra charge is an old decision and the charge was for the flight permission.
Basant Raj Dawadi, General Secretary of Nepal Airsport Association, informed that after the obstruction in the service, tourists have been deprived of the enjoyment.
