KATHMANDU: A joint parliamentary committee formed to draft parliamentary business rules for both Houses passed the same unanimously proposing to have 15-member Parliamentary Hearing Committee.

CPN-UML lawmaker Krishna Bhakta Pokharel, the coordinator of the joint committee, said they agreed to have 12 members from the Lower House in the PHC and three from the Upper House.

He said PHC decisions would be endorsed unless the dissenters mustered two-thirds majority in the panel. Fifty-one per cent members must be present in the panel’s meeting.
