KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 19

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has approved the proposed ambassadors for 16 countries. In today's meeting, the committee endorsed the nominees by majority vote.

However, the nomination of Ram Krishna Bhattarai, proposed as the ambassador to Sri Lanka, was not approved due to missing necessary documents, according to committee member Mahesh Bartaula.

Committee members Dol Prasad Aryal and Prakash Adhikari expressed dissenting opinions regarding the nominations of Kapilman Shrestha (proposed ambassador to South Africa), Dhana Prasad Pandit (Israel), and Netra Prasad Timalsina (Malaysia). They also objected to the nomination of Dr. Shankar Sharma, proposed to continue as the ambassador to India.

The government recommended Lok Darshan Regmi as the Nepali Ambassador to the United States, Chandra Ghimire for the United Kingdom, Sumnima Tuladhar for Denmark, Dr. Shivmaya Tumbahangphe for South Korea, Janga Bahadur Chauhan for Russia, and Netra Prasad Timalsina for Malaysia.

Similarly, Krishna Prasad Oli has been nominated as the Nepali Ambassador to China, Dhana Prasad Pandit to Israel, Shaila Rupakheti for Germany, Ramesh Chandra Poudel for Qatar, Prakash Mani Poudel for Portugal, Rita Dhital for Pakistan, Shankar Sharma for India, Kapilman Shrestha for South Africa, Naresh Bikram Dhakal for Saudi Arabia, Ram Krishna Bhattarai for Sri Lanka, and Sanil Nepal for Spain.
