KATHMANDU: The Election Commission is likely to announce results of the election held for parliamentary seats under proportional representation system on Thursday.

Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav said the EC would announce results of the Parliamentary PR election immediately after the final result of the NA election was out. He said the poll panel would ask the parties to recommend names from the closed list they had submitted to the EC prior to election, within three days.

“If the parties fail to recommend names of winners correctly, we’ll give them two more days to submit the corrected list,” said Yadav. He said the EC would submit the result to the president next week.
