PARSA: A man in Mahadevpatti-3 of Parsa district apparently murdered his teenage daughter, police said.

The 14-year-old Prabha Kumari Mukhiya of Mahadevpatti-3, Parsa district was allegedly murdered by her father Shiva Mukhiya, police alleged.

Earlier, the law enforcement personnel were tipped-off that the man was planning to disappear after the incident. Therefore, they visited the village this morning queried the suspect about whereabouts of the girl.

In return, he helped police collect the body from Nepal-India border area near his village, informed SP Raj Babu Shrestha.

The body of the victim is being brought to Birgunj, the Parsa district headquarters, after postmortem, police added.

Meanwhile all other members of the Mukhiya family are on the run, according to police.

Motive behind the suspected murder is yet to be ascertained, SP Shrestha added.
