KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 22
Parsa police arrested two individuals in possession of an illegal firearm in Bahudarmai Municipality-9 of Parsa district on Wednesday night.
Dipendra Giri (44) of Katibaluwa in Kalikamai Rural Municipality-9 and Shivapujan Mukhiya (37) of Bairiyabirta in Pokhariya Municipality-9 were caught red-handed with a homemade pistol.
The duo was arrested during a routine checkup when police stopped the motorcycle (Na.12 Pa. 4971) they were riding. Duing the inspection,the illegal firearm was discovered in theirpossesssion, leading to their immediate arrest.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
