KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 10

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal stated that his party remains focused on fulfilling the people's aspirations for development.

Speaking to media today, he emphasized that the Maoist Centre's priority is not government changes but delivering on developmental goals.

"Our focus is not on the government but on the people-mobilizing them effectively and keeping a close watch on the government's work," he remarked.

Addressing a separate issue, Chair Dahal asserted that China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) aligns with Nepal's national interests. He noted that in the current global scenario, where China and the United States are seen as major contenders, it is natural for one nation to take an interest in another's affairs.

His comments referred to the interplay between the US's Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS) and China's BRI.
