All-party forge consensus on meeting agenda in Province 4

POKHARA: An all-party meeting held in Pokhara on Saturday regarding the first Province Assembly meeting of Province 4 scheduled for February 5 discussed the matters pertaining to execution of the meeting.

The meeting, also attended by the representatives of the Parliament Secretariat, discussed agendas on the procedure of the operation of province assembly and interim work procedure.

The first meeting agreed to read out a letter of the province chief summoning parliamentary meeting in the assembly as per the parliamentary tradition, shared Joint Secretary at Parliament Secretariat, Jibraj Budhathoki. Also agreed agendas were to endorse interim work procedure and select a presidium comprising person to preside over the assembly in absence of the Speaker.

The parties have also come to a consensus that total 11 persons (three each from big parties including at least one woman) and one each from fringe parties will deliver their speech in the assembly.

The first meeting will be of one hour and 15 minutes.
