Party headquarters should be powerful: Dahal

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP)'s Co-chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal opined that the party headquarters should be made powerful, not the multiple power centres.

Addressing a joint meeting of Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal in Kathmandu on Friday, former Prime Minister Dahal said that communism collapsed in eastern Europe and the then USSR due to the trend of being master once the communist reached to power. He suggested that the communists should be linked to people with critical mind.

On the same occasion, Dahal also said that his party was working to prepare a base for socialism via prosperity along with social justice post unification of the two parties. Likewise, Dahal also stated that the party unification had given out an international message and it should be internalised firmly to prepare a new base for socialism.
