SINDHULIMADI: CPN Maoist-Revolutionary leader CP Gajurel on Sunday ruled out the possibility of unification with the Unified CPN-Maoist in the near future.

Inaugurating the 21st district council of Sindhuli district, Gajurel said that there was no possibility of unification with UCPN-Maoist.

“There is no possibility of the party unifiying with Unified CPN-Maoist in the near future though the rumours have surfaced,” he claimed.

However, some initiatives in this regard have begun and they may gain momentum only after leaders of both parties sideline the issues that they are disgruntled with.

He said they had different views regarding the present social situation and promulgation of the new constitution. “Hence, there is no possibility of party unification before settling these two issues,” he clarified.

Local Development Officer Ishwor Kumar Giri presented a budget of Rs 3.31 billion and 54 development projects for the fiscal 2016/17.
