DAMAULI: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel said that current NC President Sushil Koirala and senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba should support him for the party presidency in the upcoming national general convention.

Speaking in a interaction organised by the Reports' Club in Tanahun today, Paudel claimed that he has invested all his time for the party and he should now be given a chance to lead it.

Paudel further stated that he was one of the top competitors for the post to maintain unity in the party.

Most members and well-wishers of the party also want him to be the next president of the party, he claimed.

Earlier, NC leader Sujata Koirala had spoken about filing her candidacy for the post.

The NC will try to talk with Madhesi parties to solve the ongoing problems in the country, stated Paudel.
