KATHMANDU: A man died after being hit by a truck in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4 of Chitwan district on Sunday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Mangal Sada (24) of Barhawa Municipality-4 in Sunsari district.

According to police, Sada was walking alongside the road in Lewatar when the truck (Na 3 Kha 7605) hit him at 8:45 pm yesterday, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, Mugling-based Area Police Office has impounded the truck and detained its driver for further investigation, said police.
