KATHMANDU: A man died after he was hit by a bus in Charnath Municipality-1 of Dhanusha district on Tuesday night, police said.

The deceased who appears to be in his mid-40s is yet to be identified.

According to police, the unidentified man was walking along the road near Baluwa Khola when he was hit by the bus (Na 5 Kha 5223) at 10:45 pm yesterday, critically injuring him.

The injured was rushed to Janakpur Zonal Hospital, however, he breathed his last at 3:00 am today on the way to a Biratnagar-based health facility where he was referred for further treatment.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and detained its driver for further investigation, informed Area Police Office, Bharatpur.
