SARLAHI, DECEMBER 20
A pedestrian was killed on the spot after being hit by a motorcycle in Lalbandi Municipality-6 of Sarlahi.
According to the police, the accident occurred when a motorcycle (Ba 94 Pa 9234), heading towards Parwanipur, struck the pedestrian.
According to DSP Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the deceased is an approximately 50-year-old man whose identity has not yet been confirmed. His body has been sent to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa for post-mortem examination.
The motorcycle rider, Binod Kumar Shrestha (21) of Lalbandi Municipality-16, and pillion rider, Niraj Lama (27) of Ishwarpur Municipality-12, both sustained serious injuries in the incident.
After receiving primary treatment in Lalbandi, both have been referred to Kathmandu for further medical care.
