DAMAK: A pedestrian died after being hit by a jeep at Shivastasi Municipality – 5 of Jhapa on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Indra Bahadur Koirala (62) of Dharampur – 9 of Jhapa.

The four-wheeler (Me 1 Cha 4001) heading towards east from west hit Koirala at around 7 pm.

Critically injured in the incident, Koirala was rushed to the Life Line Hospital in Damak, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, police said.

Police said that they have impounded the jeep and arrested its driver for investigation.
