CHITWAN: A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a motorcycle along a bypass road in Bharatpur, Chitwan last night.

According to police, Bir Bahadur BK (54) was seriously injured after being hit by the motorbike and died in course of treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College.

The motorcycle (Na 25 Pa 3839) heading towards the central bus park from Aanptaari area in Bharatpur rammed the pedestrian in front of the Boudha Gumba in Bharatpur-11 at around 9:30 pm yesterday.

Motorcyclist, Narendra Thapa (20) of Bharatpur, and pillion rider, Bikram Tamang (19) of Dhading, were injured in the accident. They are undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Thapa is reported to be critical.
