BANIYANI: Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula remarked that there is a growing discontent among people because of a feeble government and a helpless opposition.

Talking to media at Bhadrapur today, leader Sitaula said that the government with a strong majority has failed to meet the people’s expectation. “There was a huge expectation from the government with a two-thirds majority,” he said, “However, it has not been met. And Nepali Congress in the opposition has not been able to play any significant role."

"The present government should take heed from the past and work in favour of the people. Otherwise, federalism, democracy and republic values would be jeopardized."

On the occasion, leader Sitaula also emphasised on the need to transform NC as per federal structure and go to the door steps of the people.
