People should unite for CA polls: Sitaula

Kathmandu, August 21:

Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula today said the election to constituent assembly can be held if all people support it and that no one can prevent the victory of Nepali people.

Inaugurating the 23rd anniversary of the Kendriya Prahari Pariwar Mahila Sangh (KPPMS), Sitaula said the CA polls can take place on the scheduled date if all Nepalis unite for the common goal.

“Split between us will put our future at stake, so all Nepalis must have a common goal and understanding,” he said. “We are on the process of ending violence and terror and achieve a common victory.” He also warned against regional conflict and called everyone to make Nepal peaceful and prosperous.

“The government has already decided to go for CA polls and the police officials should play an important role in this great moment,” he said.

He also stressed on the role of family of police officials in taking the message of CA polls to the commoners and to work for social, political change. Bidhya Rana, president of the KPPMS, expressed commitment of the organisation to helping strengthen the society.
